1996 R33 GTR LM Limited 1 OF 188 BUILT
In 1995 Nissan decided to make a return to Le Mans racing in the GT1 class with the R33 GTR LM, with only one ever being produced Nissan decided to commemorate the car and their return to Le Mans by producing 188 R33 GTR LM Limited the following year in 1996.
The LM limited received N1 front bumper ducts, N1 bonnet spoiler, and a N1 carbon rear wing as standard. The only color available was BT2 Championship blue, which was also specific to the LM Limited only ever being used on the 188 cars produced.
Our car has been the recipient of a few modifications from HKS, with a boost controller, turbo timer, intakes, and Hi-Power cat back exhaust. In addition to those modifications the footwork of the car has been altered with R34 GTR front lower control arms, and Tein Flex Z coilovers. The car has recently received a full fuel system service, spark plugs, oil change with new filter and new HKS air filter elements.
Currently reading just over 73000 miles the car is in very good condition with the paint having very few imperfections.
The engine bay of the car vehicle is in excellent condition with most of the original plating in near perfect condition this also includes the throttle linkage, the valve covers have been repainted in a metallic pink color as a part of the HKS touches. Moving to the interior a signature from the owner of HKS can be found on the passenger side sun visor along with the controls for the HKS turbo timer and boost controller, the shift knob has also been replaced with a Pivot Super quick knob. Factory climate control still remains and functions flawlessly. The driver side seat does have some wear on the outside bolstering but the rest of the interior showing minimal signs of wear. The front shock towers on the car have previously been repaired correctly but with more modern technology they have been able to create 3D scans of the Front strut towers to perfectly recreate them, this is something to consider in the future.
The driving experience has been heightened from the modifications but still retains a factory smoothness, as the car pulls consistently through the power band, you can hear a subtle growl from the exhaust but not enough to drown out the mechanical sounds the RB26 produces. When going through curves you can notice the added tightness from the modifications the suspension has undergone, which leads to a much more planted feel that inspires more confidence in its abilities. With the mild tweaks performed to the vehicle it is truly an excellent choice of vehicle for both jaunts of spirited driving , and day to day activities.
