Datsun Z-S1 purchased this car in the summer of 2019 with the hopes of restoring it and having an early VIN (2474), numbers-matching, very early series 1 240z. After some professional restoration at a local shop, as well as sourcing series 1 specific parts from around the country, I decided that this project needed to find a new home.
A significant amount of metal work has been completed, but there is still a good amount of work left. As seen in the pictures, the floors, quarter panels, strut towers, rockers and more have already been done. I purchased frame rails, but those have not been installed yet. As such, the front end is currently on dollies. The spare tire well is in very good condition. Front suspension parts have been powder coated. Sourced series 1 parts include air cleaner cover, hatch vents and clips (not pictured), metal fan, and center console.
The car had some kind of Toyota seats when I bought it. I have since sourced the appropriate seats that need restoring. Original series 1 steering wheel and horn pad are in excellent condition. Engine has the original 2400 valve cover and carbs.
Will also include the original PA license plate. Other items include: Seat rails, nearly complete weather stripping set, dealer-installed AC system from another series 1 240z.
