FOR SALE: One BEAUTIFUL example of a Datsun 240z! It is approximated that only +/- 500qty of the Series 1 remain in “restorative condition”. This one is in EXCELLENT SHAPE! —–==Don’t let the Camera fool you, ITS RED.(A little about her) – I purchased this Z from a collector that had several in his warehouse. Her tires were full of tread but square from sitting; she had a 1/2 dozen aftermarket parts under the hood but was CLEAN inside and out! Her undercarriage is great! Currently she has an electronic fuel pump installed, a new Mishimoto Radiator and a set of new Weber Carbs. These were tuned at sea level (im at 1500ft) so she is running a bit rich currently. Her mechanical fuel pump is still installed, and her rebuilt SU carbs are on hand (along with the original air filter); When I first received her, she was vapor-locking and none of the mechanics could figure it out so they threw parts at her; afterwards I figured it out thanks to Z forums and I wrapped her fuel lines with heat shielding (see photos) and replaced the old radiator with a new Mishimoto to keep her running cool! The fuel tank has been dropped refurbished less than 20 miles ago. With (likely less than) 500 series 1’s remaining she needs to be carted around on a trailer and kept in a LARGE garage (or Castle?) I ABSOLUTELY LOVE DATSUN Z’S .I don’t think I’m serving their memory best by being the one to protect her!This Z comes with a rebuilt set of 1970 SU carbs (that work excellent!), stock filter & housing, new BRE racing wheels with less than 20 miles on them, spare tire, tire-iron, working tape deck, 4spd manual, CLEAN INSIDE & OUT (with only the slightest blemishes here or there) Her body is STRAIGHT, A LOT has been done to bring her to the looker she is, and everywhere I drive people are recording on their phones, or a stop at the gas station becomes a 30 minute visit with everyone who pulls up!P.S. The Driver-side window is off the track & the passenger handle was not completely installed (lost the fastener during interior restoration)
